Founding director, Garth Heynen, believes in forging long-term relationships rooted in ethics and intuitive planning and development. He acquired his first qualification, a Bachelor of Arts in town planning. Establishing a firm academic foundation for his endeavours to come, he further acquired a Graduate Diploma in Regional and Urban Planning and a Graduate Diploma in Property. It was in this spirit of improvement that he founded Heynen Planning Consultants to deliver lasting results for clients and community in 1993.

Has a comprehensive skill set honed over years of experience. With a Master in Urban Design (Planning) and a Master in Architecture from the University of Adelaide, Iain has an established practical foundation with industry application in development. Iain is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and is also recognised as an associate member with the Royal Australian Institute of Architects.

With an employment history including City Holden and the Master Builders Association, and the owner/operator of Eclipse Body Centre for over a decade, Larissa has a well rounded understanding of office practices and commercial operations. Combined with her Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Urban and Regional Planning student, she is a capable office manager and asset to Heynen Planning Consultants.

Over the years, Garth’s expertise, dedication and integrity have been sought out by the public and private sectors. He has been actively involved in various associations, such as the Royal Australian Planning Institute, Master Builders Association, Local Government Association, the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia and the City of Campbelltown Strategic Planning and Development Policy Committee. Garth leads with professionalism, fostering healthy stakeholder engagement and prioritising innovative project outcomes.
